Cosmetic Dentistry
Cosmetic Dentistry is a combination of science and art that is constantly evolving
with new and exciting technological advancements. Many new skills and procedures
must be learned and practiced to achieve the absolute best proficiency in treating
patients. That’s why Dr. Michael Crowley and Dr. Kathleen Crowley spend many hours
in continuing education classes for State-of-the-art Cosmetic Dentistry.
“Bleaching” or “Teeth Whitening”
Have you ever wanted to make your smile brighter and more attractive? Dr. Michael
Crowley and Dr. Kathleen Crowley would like you to be aware of the Cosmetic Dentistry
procedure known as “Bleaching”, or “Teeth Whitening”, which can lighten and brighten
your teeth. After the initial treatment your teeth will only need an occasional
touching up. For the convenience of all our patients, ask about our 1 hour bleaching
treatment and everyone you see will thoroughly enjoy
your whiter, brighter smile.
Importance of Regular Dental Visits
Remember: delaying dental care can have long lasting, painful and costly results.
That’s why we recommend regular dental visits at least twice a year.
Gum Disease
Did you know that 80% of all Americans have some sort of gum disease? Healthy gums
are firm, and fit snugly around the teeth. When plaque and tarter build up on the
teeth, the gums can become red and puffy, and may bleed during brushing and flossing.
The earliest stage of gum disease is called gingivitis. Treating gingivitis can
halt the progression to the more advanced stages of gum disease and prevent the
loss of gums and bone that support your teeth.
Safety
Because Dr. Michael Crowley and Dr. Kathleen Crowley care about your safety, we
want to assure you that every precaution is taken to control and prevent the spread
of diseases and infections in this office. All instruments and hand pieces are sterilized
before they are used on patients, in fact, we use sterilization procedures that
surpass all industry and OSHA standards. Our sterilizers are monitored on a regular
basis to ensure their effectiveness, and we continue taking courses to keep us informed
on the latest guidelines for your health and well being.
